ibVPN is a VPN service that offers VPN service for United States (US), United Kingdom (UK), Germany (DE), Netherlands and Canada. VPN service is especially useful for accessing blocked content from anywhere in the world. Examples of blocked content include VOIP services which are usually blocked or licensed by most of the countries, watching country specific content like HULU, Pandora and BBC iPlayer.
A VPN service is usually encrypted so you can hide your tracks from internet monitoring and web filtering applications. ibVPN only offer PPTP VPN service with unlimited traffic but no P2P traffic is allowed. The good thing about ibVPN is that it doesn’t require separate software tools to start work. In fact it’s very easy to setup a VPN connection with ibVPN. Here are the configuration guides provided by ibVPN.
ibVPN occasionally gives free VPN accounts to the users but that is limited. They have a premium VPN service that can be purchased for $4.95/month which is the basic configuration.
My experience with ibVPN has been mixed so far. I have been using ibVPN for a few days. Most of the times, the speed has been outstanding but sometimes, it just breaks my browser connections so I have to refresh in order to view the webpage. Other than that, it’s really very good.

I live in Asia and it is really difficult to get access to some online services – a few of which you mentioned in the article. I have tried a couple of VPNs in the past (It’s Hidden, Comodo) but they slowed my connection down too much. So I’m interested to give this a try. Although I have had little need for it apart from the occasional catch-up (being based out of my home country), I do recommend my clients who do not have satellite access to do a google search for them as a possible solution to access UK TV. I had previously used FreeVPN until it stopped working (I think it went premium but not can’t be sure now).
